Financial Literacy Is Not Enough.Strategy Is.
Many women have assets. Few have a coordinated plan.
We Are Augusta was created to close that gap.
The idea began in late-night conversations between four friends who were tired of financial industry advice that did not reflect women’s realities. The wage gap. Career pauses for caregiving. Longer lifespans that require more retirement savings. Financial transitions after divorce or loss. Most mainstream advice glosses over these truths.
This podcast is our response.
A space where investing, retirement planning, tax strategy, and estate coordination are discussed with clarity and context. No jargon without explanation. No generic advice. No assumptions.
Why “Augusta?”
In ancient Rome, when a woman was considered to have the greatest prestige and influence equal to the male leader (or the “Augustus”), she was given the special honorific “Augusta” – to celebrate her as a dignified, noble, respected leader.
The show is insightful celebration of the strength, dignity, and compassion that defined the legacy of Pompeia Plotina, the esteemed wife of philanthropic roman emperor Trajan. She used her influence as Augusta to promote fairer policies and better education, and support for those in need.
We love what the name Augusta stands for, but as women of today, we can declare that power for ourselves. We believe every woman can be her own Augusta — owning her influence, intellect, and financial power.
