Joe has been in the financial services industry for nearly 35 years, managing and training advisors and agencies throughout his career. A published author (Encompassing Charity), he has also hosted a radio show called Common Sense and coached over 50 sports teams from youth through high school levels.
Born and raised in Newport Beach, California, Joe attended Orem High School and later Snow College, where he was named All-American as a Quarterback. He went on to BYU, where he served as backup to Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer, and graduated with a degree in Finance. Joe also served an LDS mission in Los Angeles, California.
At BYU, Joe met and married Shauna Schmidt, whose father Ken served as defensive coordinator under Head Coach, Lavell Edwards. Together they have 5 children and 4 grandchildren.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys time with his family, American history, and gardening — his yard has been featured on podcasts, websites, and magazines. His wife has written 4 cookbooks and Joe has even learned how to do electrical work from a book.
